Help, I'm lost!
Have you tried Hare Krishna? Seriously though, your being lost is not surprising, since nothing looks the same as it did back in February. Everything has changed, and although the majority of the original text is still here, it's rearranged and much has been added. This site has undergone a huge conversion to become a wiki.
What's a wiki, you ask?
It's basically a website that can be edited by its readers. That way the mistakes can be corrected and further information can be added anytime someone knows more than the original author. 'Constant improvements' - that's our motto!
What's a motto?
I don't know. What's a motto with you? Get it?
So how do you edit, you want to know?
Simply click the 'Edit' button at the top of the page you are reading. As long as it's not one of the main pages, which are locked, you'll be able to edit it. We do ask that you first sign in, or create an account if you haven't signed in. By specifying an email address, you can receive notifications when someone updates a page that you are 'watching'.
And you want to know how to watch a page?
Simple. Just click the 'watch' button at the top of the page. When you edit the content of a page, you can choose whether to 'watch' it at that time as well.
So want to know what that 'discussion' button is?
Bright, shiny and irresistable, isn't it? I don't blame you. I constantly have to fight the urge to click those bright shiny things. My favorite character on Red Dwarf is 'Cat', not surprisingly. But I digress. The discussion button allows you to leave comments about the page, and carry on a discussion with other users about the page, without editing it.
Want to know the rules to having the freedom to edit?
First, you can't edit the main sections of this website. Well this isn't a rule, really, since there isn't even an 'edit' button provided, so you can't break this rule even if you wanted. Second, you should keep all content you create free of copyrighted materials and free of bias. Third, you're welcome to link to your own website, but it has to be somehow related to the subject matter and must be placed in a logical page name. For instance, if you run a website about J. R. R. Tolkien or Tolkien's Books then you could link to them in those sections of this site. For those of you who aren't understanding this, I just placed two internal links in the previous paragraph for you to click on if you wish to follow the example given.
